From the Pastor

Dear Friends,

This weekend, both of our parishes kick-off the 2017 Grand Annual Campaign! This is a very exciting moment in the life of our parishes in that we are working together to ensure a strong and prosperous future for Catholics in our section of Dorchester.

Both the new Confessional project at St. Ann's and the Heating Boiler project at St. Brendan's will greatly enhance the overall atmosphere of our two churches from a capital improvement standpoint. As I detailed in my recent letters to the parishes, the Grand Annual Campaign has been used in both of our parishes over the years to support much needed improvements that are outside of the annual parish budgets. This year we follow that tradition that has helped both parishes to improve and enhance our beautiful churches in order to create an even more welcoming setting for parishioners and visitors alike.

I know that I can count on every parishioner to make this year's Grand Annual a tremendous success! I sincerely thank you in advance for your support.

As I mentioned above, the Grand Annual begins this weekend. All parishioners have been asked to return their pledge card to church at this time. If you did not bring your pledge card to Mass with you, please bring it next weekend or mail it to the parish office this week. (If you did not receive a Grand Annual pledge card in the mail there are packets available at the entrance to the church.) As indi-cated, you may make your gift in a one-time installment or in a couple of installments, if easier. The hope is that we may encourage you to take a gentle step in increasing your support. If you would like to make a gift of appreciated securities or as part of your yearly IRA distribution to take advantage of tax benefits, please contact that parish office and we will be able to assist you in making your gift. And as always, ALL gifts are fully tax deductible.

Together, we can make this effort a great success for St. Ann's and St. Brendan's. Let us pray as one for the inter-cession of our two patron saints that God will bless our parishes through this year's Grand Annual.

Thank you and God bless you all!
